Das Buddy-Programm soll internationalen Studierenden dabei helfen, sich an ihr neues Leben in einem fremden Land anzupassen. Wenn man in einer fremden Stadt ankommt, kann alles überwältigend und aufregend zugleich sein. Vom Navigieren durch unbekannte Straßen bis hin zum Umgang mit der Bürokratie kann es eine Herausforderung sein, besonders wenn man niemanden vor Ort kennt. Hier kommen die Buddys als einheimische Begleiter*innen ins Spiel. Sie helfen den internationalen Studierenden, sich in ihrer neuen Umgebung einzuleben. Als Buddy unterstützt du die Studierenden in der Anfangsphase ihres neuen Lebens und hilfst ihnen, sich im Chaos zurechtzufinden. Außerdem kannst du der*die erste Freund*in sein, die ein International in der neuen Heimat findet.
Die kritischste Zeit für Internationals ist direkt nach ihrer Ankunft in Dresden. Die Rolle des Buddys ist es, sie während der Orientierungswoche zu begleiten und ihnen jede notwendige Unterstützung zu geben. Natürlich hoffen wir, dass Buddy und International während des Semesters eine dauerhafte Freundschaft entwickeln.
Diese Registrierung verpflichtet zur Teilnahme am Buddy-Programm.

The Buddy Program is designed to assist international students in adjusting to their new lives in a foreign country. When arriving in an unfamiliar city, everything can be overwhelming and exciting at the same time. From navigating through unfamiliar streets to dealing with bureaucracy, it can be a challenging experience, especially when you don't know anybody locally. This is where you, the buddy, comes in as a local companion who can help international students settle into their new surroundings. They support the students through the initial phase of their new life and help them navigate through the chaos. Additionally, they can be the first friend an international student can make in their new home.
The most critical time for international students is right after they arrive in Dresden. The buddy's role is to accompany them during the Orientation Week and provide them with any necessary support. Of course, we hope that the buddy and the international students will develop a long-lasting and supportive friendship throughout the semester.
This registration obliges you to participate in the Buddy Program.
